Your Journey Starts Here

Basic Obedience

Basic obedience is the foundation of all dog training. It focuses on teaching essential commands such as sit, stay, come, heel, and down, along with proper leash manners and impulse control. These skills help dogs respond reliably to their handler, behave appropriately in everyday environments, and build a strong, respectful bond between dog and handler.

Grace & Integrity K9 provides American Kennel Club (AKC) evaluations and testing, giving handlers the opportunity to earn nationally recognized titles that reflect their dog’s training and behavior.

PTSD Service Dogs

Unleashing Independence

A PTSD service dog is a specially trained dog that assists an individual living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder by performing specific tasks that help manage their symptoms. These dogs are more than companions—they are working partners trained to provide support during real-life challenges.

Common tasks a PTSD service dog may perform include interrupting anxiety or panic attacks, providing grounding during flashbacks, creating space in crowded environments, waking their handler from nightmares, or reminding them to take medication.

By offering both practical assistance and a sense of security, PTSD service dogs help their handlers regain independence, confidence, and a greater ability to navigate daily life.

Mobility Assistance Dogs

Helping one another

A mobility assistance service dog is a specially trained dog that helps individuals with physical disabilities navigate daily life more safely and independently. These dogs provide hands-on support with movement, balance, and everyday tasks.

Common tasks may include retrieving dropped items, opening and closing doors, turning lights on and off, assisting with transfers, and providing stability while walking. Some dogs are also trained to help pull a wheelchair or brace to support balance when appropriate.

Mobility assistance dogs play a vital role in increasing independence, reducing physical strain, and giving their handlers greater confidence in moving through their environment.

Autism Assistance Dogs

Understanding

An autism assistance dog is a specially trained service dog that supports an individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder by improving safety, communication, and daily functioning. These dogs are trained to meet the unique needs of each person they serve.

Common tasks may include preventing wandering by staying tethered to a child, providing deep pressure for calming during sensory overload, interrupting repetitive or self-harming behaviors, and helping ease transitions in unfamiliar environments. They can also offer emotional stability and act as a social bridge, encouraging positive interactions with others.

Autism assistance dogs help create a greater sense of independence, security, and confidence for both the individual and their family.
